Job Description
To provide a professional and residential care service to all Service Users and to promote the development of the individual's full potential.
Duties and Responsibilities
To ensure that high standards of professional care and practices for service users are established and maintained, including appropriate attention to their physical, cultural, social, educational, recreational and emotional needs.
To participate in the decision making process concerning future plans for each service user within their home environment.
To prepare reports and to participate in case reviews on each service user.
To ensure that service user's medication is administered as prescribed by the General Practitioner for Action for Care Limited.
To undertake 'Keyworker' responsibilities.
To promote and contribute towards effective communication within the residential staff team and between service user and staff, to ensure that continuity of care is maintained.
To contribute towards the maintenance of sound administrative practices within the home; to establish and maintain a detailed case recording system for each resident.
To undertake sleeping-in duties.
To participate in and contribute to staff training and development programmes as and when required.
To assist as necessary in the overall running of the home and to provide assistance where necessary.
To deploy volunteers effectively and supervise students and trainees as appropriate.
To assist in fostering, developing and maintaining contacts within the local community.
To carry out any other duties as required.
