About Us
The Lodge is a beautiful residential care home in Hemingbrough that supports eight wonderful people who have learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. Our ethos is to provide high-quality care and meaningful opportunities that help each resident achieve their personal wants, needs, and aspirations.
Open for 11 years, we have achieved an Outstanding rating from the CQC for Caring, and also hold autism accreditation, which we recently retained. We were also awarded five stars for food hygiene in a recent inspection and take pride in the excellent upkeep of the home and the compassionate, consistent support we provide every day.
Meet the Manager
Sara Blenkinsopp
“I have worked at The Lodge for 14 years now and I am the Registered Service Manager. During my time here, I have completed an NVQ 5, an Autism Diploma and done huge amounts of training and learning which has supported me in my own personal development, whilst gaining knowledge to do the best job I can and cascade my knowledge to the team.
I oversee a team of 27 staff who support 8 individuals predominantly with Autism and LD. I am passionate about my role as I want to ensure that we offer the best care, opportunities and empower others. We are Autism accredited and we have maintained this since we achieved this back in 2019.
The service is rated good overall with CQC however we were rated outstanding in care and I am really proud of the team who work so hard alongside me to achieve this.”
