About Us
Prospect House is a residential home for adults located in the Altofts area, close to Normanton. We have a kind, caring and diverse team of staff who deliver specialist, person-centred care for people diagnosed with learning disabilities.
Our convenient location near several towns and cities allows us to access a wide range of community resources and provide varied experiences and activities for the people we support.
The accommodation is arranged over two floors and includes numerous communal spaces where residents enjoy cooking, socialising and pursuing hobbies. We place a high priority on offering fulfilling, meaningful experiences for everyone in our care. Throughout the year we provide regular social visits, learning opportunities and tailored outings.
These include trips to swimming pools, bowling alleys and cinemas, walks and visits to local places of interest, plus any other activities that are engaging, enjoyable and stimulating for the people we support.

“I’ve been at Prospect since Sept 2024, previously I had been working as a Registered manager in Doncaster. I have worked with LD and Autism for around 12 years and I am passionate about supporting the people who live with us to live the best lives possible.
I am passionate about ensuring our staff feel supported and confident, working in a positive and open culture. We are a 7 bed service in Altofts – we are committed to making the service as homely as possible and creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere. We focus on peoples abilities and work hard to promote positive outcomes, independence and well being.
The best part of my role is seeing the positive changes around me. particularly supporting the people who live at PH have a more fulfilling and purposeful life. We have achieved a lot in the time I have been here including reductions in medications, increasing community access and promoting staff development.”
