Willow View

About Us

Willow View is a double storey house situated on the outskirts of Bradford in a small village called Birkenshaw, East Bierley. Leeds and Wakefield are both within a 15-mile radius and the motorway networks of M62 and M1 are easily accessible. The house is set back from the main road and access to it is by a small track leading to the house. There is a nature reserve at the back of the house for quiet and peaceful walks.

Since our registration in 2009, Willow View has effectively been delivering support to adults with learning disabilities and assisting people to live the type of life they wish to live, regardless of their level of ability. At all times, the needs of the people we support are paramount. The team actively address life challenges and seek to overcome them through encouragement and involvement, promoting individual development and enabling personal progression.

A high priority is placed on providing fulfilling experiences for all our service users. Regular social visits and opportunities for learning are provided throughout the year. These include visits to swimming pools, bowling alleys, cinemas, walking, places of interest and any other activities that are interesting and stimulating for the people we support.

Outside the home environment we arrange attendance at day centres, adult education courses, life skills courses and employment training activities.

Meet the Manager

Pamela Chiratidzo Sanhokwe

“Prior to joining Action for Care, I worked in a wide range of learning disabilities care settings including a secure unit. I joined Action for Care in 2009 and progressed into a management role in 2014. I am a registered nurse (RNLD) and hold a BSc (Hon) degree in nursing, with many years of experience working in care.  Since joining the company, I have had extensive experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health and/or autism, demonstrating a strong commitment to person-centred care and professional excellence.

We have a positive workplace culture that is inclusive, compassionate and collaborative, where each member of staff is made to feel valued, accepted, supported and has a sense of belonging regardless of their background, identity or circumstance. “
