Rewards & Recognition Committee Reviews Fourth Round Nominations and Begins Planning for the Annual Awards Event
On 14 October 2026, staff representatives from various Action4Care services came together at Ragworth Community Centre, Stockton-on-Tees, to take part in the selection process for the fourth round of the Rewards & Recognition Online Nominations, which had been open to staff between 28 September and 9 October 2026. The meeting provided an opportunity for staff across different services to ensure a fair, transparent, and meaningful selection process that recognised the outstanding contributions of staff members.
Committee members carefully reviewed the nomination reasons provided across the six award categories and following thorough deliberation and collective decision-making, winners were unanimously selected. Committee members also reflected on the positive impact the Rewards & Recognition Initiative has had across their services, highlighting its role in encouraging good practice, boosting staff morale, increasing engagement, and recognising excellence.
Discussions also focused on opportunities to further develop the initiative, including reviewing the current award categories towards next year. The meeting also provided an opportunity to begin planning for the upcoming annual Rewards & Recognition Awards Event and to discuss ideas for making the occasion a memorable and meaningful celebration for all involved.
As part of these discussions, the committee agreed to introduce more new awards categories for the annual event, including Manager of the Year, Deputy Manager of the Year, Senior Support Worker of the Year, Day Support Worker of the Year, and Night Support Worker of the Year. These additions were viewed as an important step towards recognising excellence across a wider range of roles and highlighting the valuable contributions made also by night staff.
With excitement already building, the annual awards event promises to be a fantastic occasion that celebrates dedication, achievement, and the individuals who make a lasting difference to both the people we support and Action4Care as a whole.
